Yep, I didn't have a problem with that at all. I was hoping for a way to get functionality similar to an alarm clock that goes off no matter what the device sound settings are and brings up the app at the time of the notification, but it doesn't look like this does it. I think the part that I was missing was setting the sdk to 16.

I renamed the app last night while testing for something else and that created the additional folder. I give up! I'll just monitor this post to see if mollyfud can explain how she was able to get it to work, or maybe I'll just learn to write native Android apps. Thanks for all of the help!

For some reason the folder and local-notification.js under assets\www\files\resources\lib\plugins weren't there anymore, but I just added it back and tried to export again and it still gave the same error. The java files for the plugin are under de\appplant\cordova\plugin\localnotification, per Igor...
