Appery - Images not loading

Yes, it was showing 404 errors (missing).

It seems to be working fine at the moment though. Next time I'll screen shot and update or start a thread.

Appery - Images not loading

Ah right, yes you are correct. It's only when you preview the app (in browser), any images loaded from media manager sometimes do not load, images loaded outside i.e. through rest call are loaded fine. This issue has occurred about 5-10 times within the past two months. I'm just wondering if it's so...

Service limit

Hi, I know when working with databases you can limit items so it only shows 1 or what ever you set limit to. Is it possible to do the same when the service pulls an XML or JSON feed? Scenario: XML feed has 10 items (news articles). Is there a way to limit it to 1? Assuming you have no control over t...

How to exit appery app

You can't do it in iOS. Well, you can, but Apple doesn't like it. In Android on a click event do:

codegetActivity().finish();
System.exit(0);/code

This would be added to the event through source code for Android only.

Window. open doesn't work

Is this on Android or iOS? I think on Android it's window.location. On my app i have it set to open in new window using: codewindow.open('https://yoururl.com', '_blank');/code or codewindow.open('https://yoururl.com', '_system');/code

Images Displayed in Hello World & Coding Issue

Hi Angel, Here's a way that I would do it. I would include the moment.js ( http://momentjs.com/ ) library to display current time (Create new Javascript Upload). This way would mean the current time is always based off the device's local date / time. Use an IF statement ( http://www.w3schools.com/js...

Hi Bruce, You can use the preinstalled native plugin called dialogs. It has built in alert, confirm, prompt or beep. https://github.com/apache/cordova-plu... Is it Possible that?

You need a web server to serve your scripts, you can't connect to your local IP because it's only local to you i.e. no public access.

One way to do this is buy a cheap shared hosting plan with a subdomain or spare domain and upload your script to that.

How do you convert 24 hour time to am/pm using javascript?

Just to add, if you are planning on showing dates/time throughout your app, it might be worth adding a library to handle it for you. In my app I use Moment.js.

Quit an app - programmatically

I think for Android it's codenavigator.app.exitApp();/code

As far as I know for iOS, you're not allowed to close it programmatically. You are forced to use the home button.

No worries - It's not a big deal. I was just wondering if you were aware of any changes that might of done this. Error logic changed since update

Hi, Before the update, I had a few errors messages that would enable (visible) when a service would fail (Data Error: Set property and on Success show what ever was being pulled). All working fine. It also worked if the content wasn't XML or JSON compatible. For example: If a feed no longer exists a...

image src from file data service

So your image is loading the right ID/file name into a label but won't show when mapped to an asset?

What javascript have you added to the mapped items? Is it appending the filename with the URL of the filesystem?
i.e.: ../files/views/assets/image/[filename].jpg

Background image flickering when moving between pages

Have you tried changing the format (jpg,png etc.) of the images or checking if they are all the same?

Also flickering can sometimes occur if the page is loading something out of the container. Have you tried adding codeoverflow:hidden/code to the css class?
