I refreshed but still see blue as the active color. Is that what it's supposed to be?

Update: Using the appery platform vs. invoking the service manually does not appear to be the problem. It's looking to me like the Appery user geolocation service (or an underlying element .ie, phonegap's api) is horribly slow. How do I turn off the spinner?
I'm looking for a way to turn the spinner off during rest calls or during google map loading. Tired $( "#ajaxBusy" ).remove(); but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?
