Thanks Maryna, It solved my problem. I missed that thing out.

One more question if you don't mind.

THe back biutton does not appear in my newsDetail Page when I test it even if I set in on the header properties.

Put the request parameter in the url of an xml file.

I did, and the rest service is working fine.
THe problem is the data are not tranferring to the assigned fields.
Can you please take a look in it to check.
I need the application to complete very soon.

Hi Alena, I got another issue, I have followed the tutorial correctly, I haves tested the request parameter from the srvice page and when I type the node id it returns the correct data. I checked my request and response mapping and they are correct. Also Im sure that nid is stored in the local datab...

I don't want to use existing theme, I want to have the app plain no themes applied, but in the code the system auto creates a theme, how do I disbale them?

I want to load a splash screen consisting of loader gif, bg image and logo while the app is downloading the assets and data for my home page.

Is it possible and how?
