Ionic 4 - Auto Updates

Why do the "Automatic updates" not work in my Ionic 4 App published to the Apple Store?

I have enabled it, built an .ipa, uploaded it to Apple and Testing it using Testflight, but the automatic updated don't work.

How can I troubleshoot this?

Update:

I have subsequently added the "Hot Code Push Plugin" under Cordova plugins, but now the App simply crashes when launching it on the iPhone.

Thank you for the feedback. Why is the option in the IDE if it doesn't work?
