I can't seem to connect to the collaboration server.

When I log in and begin working on a project, I'm interrupted saying that I'm unable to connect to the collaboration server. I then have the option to work offline or close the project. I'd like to just work offline but the message returns every 10 seconds. Is there a way to work offline for the entire session? Better yet, how do I connect to the collaboration server?
I can't seem to connect to the collaboration server.

This issue is filed with developers as a showstopper bug.

ok, the patch is deployed in production.
In most cases, the "unable to connect" or "not authorized" message is displayed when xmpp messages are blocked by your firewall.
You still can continue editing your project as normal, just can't do it in parallel with other people
