So my plan suddenly only allows 3 versions - all the others are crossed out and can't be restored, so are useless. Do I have to delete them all individually to get some versioning functionality back?

Hello John,
Could you please clarify what plan do you have?
John,
It seems that you have the Standard Plan according to our pricing page: https://appery.io/pricing/
So you should manually delete all versions except the 3 you need.
Hi John -- my idea at https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/... to allow bulk deletes was not implemented, so manual deletes remain a real pain. The associated idea to make the drop from unlimited to three versions (standard plan) less draconian was rejected. In my opinion Appery did the whole versioning thing very poorly.
Hi Robert - Having crossed-out versions that can only be removed individually is a pain - I used versioning liberally, and it saved my life several times. As I apparently can't do anything with the crossed out versions except delete them it would be good just to get rid of them without the DELETE business for every one. And not being able to pick the versions I wanted was poor too.
Here's an idea - make it possible to download an old version. That way I can keep my three versions, and when its time to create a new version I could archive the oldest and delete it.
That way the online versions are easy to restore, while older ones are kept offline.
Hi John -
Thanks for idea, I'll send it to our team.
Bulk delete is a good feature, we are going to consider it.
We announced this upcoming change a number of times.
In July and August news letters:
https://blog.appery.io/wp-content/upl...
https://blog.appery.io/2015/09/appery...
On the blog:
https://blog.appery.io/2015/08/upcomi...
On the forum:
https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/...
and Twitter:
https://twitter.com/apperyio/status/6... (multiple times)
and also on Facebook.
Everyone still has access to this feature. If you find this feature useful and you need to save more versions, we want to encourage users to upgrade to the next plan.
Not sure how important bulk delete is now - most people will have deleted their old versions by now. However, the ability to download an old version before deleting it would be useful, as I noted above.
Can I get your newsletters by email? I haven't seen them before Max's post and I can't see how to subscribe.
Thanks
John
