Will there be ionic 2/3 available to work with the Angular 1 apps? Looking to use some of the UI elements from ionic 2 in our Angular app.

Is your question whether you can migrate an Ionic 1 app to Ionic 2 app?

Could we keep our angular 1 code and utilize the ionic 2/3 library of components? This way we don't have to rebuild the whole app to get some of the new UI improvements to Ionic

Ionic 1 uses Angular 1 and Ionic 2 is based on Angular 2. As Angular 1 and 2 are very different versions (almost like different frameworks) - there is no option no compatibility option.

Ah I wasn't aware of the angular 2 dependency of ionic 2. We need ionic 2/3 and angular 2. Hurry!
