IOS 11 is coming right ?

Galyna and Illya,

Perhaps what would be most useful to the community - since Max's departure, would be an update to this doc please:

https://devcenter2.appery.io/roadmap/

Can someone update that doc and share with us where the ship is heading ??

Best,

Bruce

That will definitely be done soon.
Please note that the updated Roadmap is here: https://docs.appery.io/docs/general-r....

IOS 11 is coming right ?

In case you run across this thread and are looking for the workarounds to an xCode 9 issue - for Appery until completely supported - here's a post that should help:

Here's a quick video of how to Workaround the top 5 issues (oh - Appery Team - I've summarized them in this video) with App distribution - but please do add Jeff's Issue to your list - here's mine plus Jeff's

  1. The Development team is not effectively selected (You likely can't do that but it never hurts to ask).

  2. The size of the UI Display is not configured and must be tweaked manually. See video.

  3. You (Appery) are not sending the REQUIRED 1024x1024 asset - called the Marketing icon. There are numerous others that cause the product to function less than professionally that are also missing and will cause users heartache (esp the Watch Icon for push notifications - which my customers use ALL THE TIME).

  4. The missing pList key for Camera usage - when the camera plugin is selected and used.

  5. Export compliance pList key is missing .

  6. Jeff's issue with IOS Push notification.

All and all - to build a product on IOS - with all of the manual intervention with xCode 9 - there's about 15-30 minutes extra work - per Build that must be repeated and remembered - to get a build out. That's substantive.

Here's my link to the video that shows you - the Appery user - how to work around these issues:

    Best,

    Bruce

IOS 11 is coming right ?

Hi Bruce. This is really helpful - thanks for taking the time to put this together and sharing with all of us on the forum. I cant miss the opportunity to take a dig at the Appery team and ask why aren't they providing these work arounds for their product and more importantly timely fixes to this problem.

With much thanks. Greg

I concur with Jamo, in both gratitude for Bruce's contributions as appery team failing to be more proactive in resolving issues. The issue with the push notification title missing (well over a year) is not good support at all.

IOS 11 is coming right ?

Illya,

Thank you for the update here.

I do think whomever decided to post this to the ‘roadmap’ section of the website should be aware that as Software professionals ( a number of us here are ) we are all pretty aware of the usual definition and form of a ‘roadmap’. Just in case it’s here :

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Techn...

The inference that a roadmap contains a time horizon of 3 weeks or so ... and contains information about 1 feature (IOS 11 support ) does not quite hit the mark.

I’ll assume this is a ‘catch up’ exercise , and whomever is doing product management and support (CTO?) will Post something that updates this soon ?

Thank you again however for the update on IOS11.

Best,
Bruce
