I tested the app on 5 different devices.
Android is doing fine,
but iOS output as follows:
. the one in 9.3 is doing fine with the camera,
. but the 2 others upgraded to iOS10 make the app crashing (first the service is skept, and then few seconds later the app crashes).
can you replicate such behavior ?

I am putting my app on share.

Seems, that this workaround works:
please switched off all of the cordova plugins, save the project, switch them all back on

I'll try this.
Meanwhile, I found out that the location.reload(); polluted the page loading when coming back later on.
therefore, I had to implement for both Android and iOS a bypass which fires navigating to a fake page that onload brings back to the page to reload. it's not "programmaticaly" elegant but effective, and not that ugly for the user
