Android binary export and PhoneGap

I'm testing Mobile App Builder that seems very interesting ; I saw that I can export my mobile application, for example, as a PhoneGap project or a Android binary (.apk file). Is the Android binay is built from the PhoneGap project?

Yes, the Android binary (.apk) is built with PhoneGap.

With the other option (ExportPhoneGap), you get a PhoneGap project source.
