Analytics and Conversion tracking

My app is finished and I want to be able to add Google analytics to it but I am not sure sure how to proceed.

If I export my app to Android/iOS, is it enough to add the JS code that G Analytics provides? Or do I need to add an SDK?

Also, when advertising the app with G Adwords, do I need to add the SDK to track installs or is it enough to add the JavaScript conversion tracking code?
