Select Menu not working correctly displays value instead of Label - returns Label rather than value

The Select menu control displays the value not the Label. when accessing the selectedv value using Appery('SelectMenu').val() it returns the label. This worked Ok yesterday what has changed?

OK shared. The page in question is ItemSearchPop which is based on a Template "ItemSearchTemplate". It is accessed from the Quotes Page by pressing the +Items button - email me directly for run details including a userid and password to run in test mode.
