It is apparent that many Cordova plugins are not supported by Appery anymore. This is due to the Cordova version changes in Appery.
I need to understand two things.
- Cordova Plugin Developers come and go and do NOT upgrade their plugins every time there is a Cordova version change. This may point to a trend of people moving away from Cordova, I am not sure and would like to know opinions???
- As a developer that has been using the Appery platform for many years, I become dependent on quite these plugins. This is posing a problem due to the fact that older Cordova plugins are not supported by Appery anymore. If there were alternative plugins that do the same job, it would be fine, however I am not seeing these alternatives. That means, no plugin = no app because many times the core functionality of an app depends on these plugins. Unless I build an plugin myself or code the tech myself, I am up the creek without a paddle. My issue is, that I signed up and commited to Appery because of the fact that Appery advertises the support of Cordova?????
My question is...... WHAT NOW?
