Want to create a game - possible with Tiggzi?

My specific question is around the "wait" UI that appears anytime you use the REST service to communicate with the Tiggzi database.

I want to create a game that does an update to the database about every 30 seconds. However, I don't want the UI to pause and show that animated loading icon every 30 seconds.

Is there a way to turn that off? Or should I explore another platform to do this.
