Incorrect app version after roll back on 26/5/2014

Hello. The roll back has at least fix the app which was totally broken, but it didn't rolled my app back to the latest and greatest version, I'm missing lot of code in one of my JS files, previously saved. Very disappointed about Appery.io change management process, what type of testing do you perform? you should have several dedicated testing environment where all DEVs can test our apps before updating production. :( :( ... I love the platform but this type of issues really affects trust. My apologies for being honest, releasing some frustration :) ...

Hi Teodoro,

As you know we had to rollback today.
http://blog.appery.io/2014/05/importa...

The new version did not work the way we expected, and we just had to roll back all the changes on our server. Unfortunately, this means all the work since May 25 is lost. There is nothing to be done.

We are very sorry for any inconveniences it might cost you.

I would have to agree here, this roll out seems to have been extremely poorly handled which has cost the users a lot of time and money. Even after realizing the roll out was not working the system was rolled back without proper warning to the users. This gave nobody a chance to save the code they just spent the last two days on.
There must be management of change procedures in place and adequate safe guards for the users. What do we now do wait another two days in case something randomly changes again.
This is a paid service and there needs to be adequate systems and processes to justify the costs.
As the last users says I love the platform as well and have actively promoted it to others, great idea but this kind of thing really detracts from the service.
Someone please investigate the management of this type of thing.

Thanks after rollback everything came to normal. I checked out the new mapping and mvc they look good but maybe a flag for older projects to work with legacy way and then users move to the new environment gradually. It's like having 2 Appery.io workspaces

Like a directive in app settings : use new MVC and Mapping or keep legacy Mapping.
This also would help projects backups to be restored using the Legacy Feature. Then a Window of 6 months for people to migrate to new version. Also selecting users as beta testers for new features would be a nice approach. Just to help

We'll we all are humans and Appery.io is by far more responsive than big players that make a lot mistakes . I can help to make a rollout planning since I have experience in banking with this issue.

In fact you have already make this approach in the libraries versions usage option. Maybe that can help.

And for the rest of the users... I have lost a lot of money with Microsoft windows crashes , and... Not even an apology received, so be nice with the team. I'm pretty sure you won't find this kind of support on other providers
