Mapping Distinct Response to Mobile Select Menu

Trying to follow the instructions found here for mapping distinct response from db:

But apparently you have changed the UI a bit and I am unable to map the $ response to the mobileselectmenu:

Here is the correct response from the DB service:

And this is how the service response was setup after clicking the "import as response" button on the test tab:

What am I missing here? Nothing is showing up in my menu as it is currently mapped.

Hello!

It is better to retrieve no distinct, but entire object from DB. There won't be such problem this way if you map specific parameter to a specific component.

Hmm, so I'm trying to populate a dropdown with the distinct values and then get the items that are associated with those distinct values based on the value of the dropdown.

How would I populate the dropdown with just distinct values if I have the entire list?

You need to create link from $ response parameter to select option component.
