Hi
I just published my first App to the Google Play Market, and when i try to download and install the app on my HTC device , iget an error message saying "the package file is invalid". I Get this error message on my HTC device and my wifes mobile to.
After searching a litle i find some solutions, to clear chache, and try to download marketfixer app. But nothing is helping me. It seems like it has noting to do with the devices but maybe my APK package...?

Have you tried to install .apk file before publishing? Did it work or were there any errors?

No i dident get any error when i uploaded my apk, 1 first when i tried then i get error that my package is not signed bla bla. But then i fixed by creating Keystorefile, and i succesfully bulid my project in build.phonegap.com, without any error. But when uloaded to google play and i try ton install on my HTC device i get this error.
Another problem i still have is to open my code project in Visual Studio 2010, i had this problom log time now, and did put up a post for this error, and they was saying that thay are working on this issue....!! Seems like there still this problom.
And another thing is how can i build my project for Android with Certificate? any link to get guide for creating this certificate? i can only find som command for creating keystore file?!
Seems like something is wrong with the package, by searching on internet i found solutions saying that i have to clean up my device for cache...and i found som steps to clear chache for apple play but still iam getting this error. The strange thing is that i dont get any error when i build my project in build.phonegap.com. And i download the APK file and uploaded it to google play store.
The package i build is downloaded from appery.io , export option on the ribbon and windows source code, i even have tried to just download source code for eclipe and build it without any error.

oki, now i have tested on HTC my friend have, and i get the same error message that package file is not valid. it means something is wrong withe code or project buld from Appery?
Just to clarify, the app that's not working -- you built it on build.phonegap.com or via Appery.io build?

I download the project as a zip file from Appery, Visual studio project and upload that into build.phonegap.com and build my project and get APK file. I also have tried to to download eclipse project zip file, but getting the same error.
Another thing iam strugling with is APK file build from Appery build. Iam not able to build release version of APK, when i try to do that i get this error message:
But iam not getting this error when i build debiug version of APK in appery.
Problom is when i try to upload my debug APK file into google play i get this error message:
So therfor i take my project .zip file and upload it to build.phonegap.com and build it there successfully without any error, and that APK file i get from build.phonegap.com is also uploading successfully on google play, but its not working when i try to install the app on a mobile device.....
Oki it seems like i have by fault deleted the autogenerate.cert file from appery Android settings....! How can i fix this?
