source code changes

I have a problem regarding the source code changes. I uploaded new files to source. it said " the changes wont be reflected in the visual view". Thats fine. But does it mean that I cannot edit my app using the visual editor at all from then on ? No editing possible at all after changing the source ?

You will ask me to "undo all source changes". Then how do I upload my files ? Pls give me a solution for editing using the visual editor..

I think many of us are having this "source code change" problem.

One more issue - I had uploaded a backup of all old app and used it as a template to develop a new app. I had given the version code as 1. But when I generated apk and submitted to playstore, the playstore detected the version code as 18. What is the reason for this discrepancy in version code ?

Is it because I changed the source code ?

I checked the androidmanifest.xml file - in this file, the version code is mentioned as 1 only.
Also, the permissions I had unchecked before generating apk is also not updated.
