Is it possible to keep the platform version fixed so that your updates dont break the app?

Is it possible to fix the "platform" version the app runs on?
Hello Steve,
We still support the old version of the platform after the 14th release, when there was a 'serious' update of it (when there was UI, model and storage and mapping update), but unfortunately this doesn't work for 'usual' updates. Nevertheless we'll pass your request to our development team, but unfortunately I suppose the result will be negative.
