Border in ionic input

I have an ionic input that has a  label(style inline) and I would like to place a border around the edit in order to know where it starts. The problem is: there is a space between the label end and the start of the edit field, so I don't know where it starts. Is there anyway of placing a border only around the edit field, leaving the label outside?
