persistent footer

When I click on the page (e.g. on a gMap marker to display infowindow), the footer (together with my navbar) disappears.

Is there a way I can keep the footer and navbar at the bottom of the page, and always visible?

Hi, I already have the position property set as "fixed" in the footer's options over on the right - is this not sufficient?

If not, how should I go about adding this property?
