Hello. I have made multiple attempts at trying to create a descent YouTube feed but I cant get it to go......
So I have a question now - Is it possible to just have a button within my app open a specific YouTube video INSIDE the YouTube app?
So basically the user presses the button that says "My Video", and the video opens inside a new window (that new window being the YouTube app).
Help please.
Try this. On button click open the YouTube link. You should see a prompt asking you whether you want to play the video in browser or YouTube app.
Well, its not just for a video.....Thats the complicated part...Im trying to create a feed with my channel as opposed to one single video. So a channel feed...
You would need to create a feed that combines all the content you need, then you can easily add to to your app.

I am trying to figure out how to play videos related to app content. I would love to popup an embedded video but given the lack of support for flash(android 4+) and html5 (youtube) I assume I am limited to a good old fashioned link:

However, do this in app is not working either. Youtube link destination does not play video (only sound) on my nexus 7(4.2.2). Link does not ask me to use youtube or other video player (including installed youtube app). When I get to the link, it is very difficult to get back (multiple quick back button clicks on device).
The link seems unworkable. Is there a better way to format youtube links, or embed them to work with newer ios and android? Incidentally, given that we are working in an app, the following of a link leaves the app experience and introduces confusion right?
I'd check if there is an option to format the links for mobile, there might be something like http://m.youtube.com/xxxxx.
I ran into a similar issue myself some time ago. I'm not sure if there is a really good solution for this.
I was experimenting with the mobile link too...started with issue but I will experiment some more.
