Why is session expiring so quickly in builder?

I updated chrome to latest - problem still exists.

Chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 (64-bit)

Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this. Could you please show what are you getting in the browser developer tools console and Network tab when you running into this.

It is easy to reproduce.

1. Leave the session idle for a while and see what happens.

   I am really not sure for what time, and I also don't have the time to reverse-engineer your system to figure out the idle time-out setting is?
   Can you please provide the time-value for inactivity time-out?

   The problem is not that things time out,,..it is that unless I SAVE, the session will time out, without persisting my changes. This means loss of data.

   Attached is the expiration dialog. My browser platform is VERY stable, at the latest Chrome, and running MacOS El Cap, and used for a variety of work, but in this case, I am using it to run Appery exclusively. (no other activity).

   Is there any INACTIVITY TIME-OUT default, over which I have control to ensure my session does not time-out?

We have tested - leaving the active session for about 30 min, and we don't getting the result that you have described.

Also could be a reason your internet connection type and your personal browser settings.
