No I did not, they are all the defaults.

Did you get any message like "request which app to use for barcode reading"? or you just see an error right after you click the button to scan barcode?
Yes, when I go to scan something, it first prompts asking which app you want to use for scanning. I have the option to use the Appery.io tester or my own app. If I choose the Appery.io tester, the scanning works fine. If I choose my own app, I get the error "Sorry, the Android camera encountered a problem. You may need to restart the device."
