Is there a limit to the number of variables defined in a collection?

If you have 8 columns in your database collection, you need to create them in Response tab either manually or go to Test tab, run Test and then click Automatically Create Response Structure.
Please...just take a minute to understand. I have tried everything.
UI is 8 rows, 2 columns in grid survey
components are 'drop downs', 'text_area'
create service used
mapping complete
only 8 out of 16 variables are showing up in database
also date field is not working
I tried all the fixes suggested above. ....please take the time to understand
could it be a bug?
I doubt it's a bug. Can you post screen shots of service's Service tab, Request tab, Response tab and the mappings.
