But since I raised this question another issue has arisen, the piece of code for making images expand to fit has stopped working. See separate query. Do we need to fix this first?
Also will I be able to see what I need to do from your example?

If you want to publish your app to Google Play you need to fix errors first. Do you want that we zipaligned two yours app now?

Zip aligning should be the last.

I find it works to export the HTML/JS/CSS and go through Adobe's PhoneGap Build (build.phonegap.com). Works well and it does the hard work (minus the certificate) itself!

Interesting suggestion. As an innocent I ask is this a work round, rather than a solution. Would it not be preferable for Appery to add zip aligning to their capabilities. Or is this asking too much, if so would it be reasonable for Appery to offer it at a premium? The alternative is to subscribe to Phone gap build.
I'm all for a one stop shop, . Eg for websites I don't go outside of Rapidweaver and incorporate bits from Dreamweaver.

It's something we are looking to add, but no exact time frame yet.

If you build a release binary (check option in app settings), the file will be zipaligned.
