Hi Laura,

This code works in Appery.io. You should replace:
codevar map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById('map-canvas'), mapOptions);/code
with:
codevar map = Appery("googlemap_1").gmap;/code
where googlemap_1 is your Google Maps component name.
