You can test and run other pages from the plug-in such as Contacts or Accounts?

Yes. When I run test I can see accounts and contacts.

This is you testing the same Account service that came with the plug-in?

The only other thing I see is that the parameter name should be 'soq' and in the screen shot it says 'so' -- but I doubt this the cause of the error.

You were right. My request parameter should have been soql instead of so. It worked.
