Error when importing from backup
My collection includes a column of type 'file'. How do I also import all the corresponding files so that they retain their filenames and therefore match up with the filenames stored in the collection?

Hi Fiona -
Unfortunately, files can be uploaded into database files collection only one by one.
Or as I mentioned, by using our simple app example where you can select multiple files and upload them in your database, this was suggested as a workaround.
Hi, I'm having the same issue.
Import project backup fail: BackupManager wrong format backup - metadata is missing.
1 I backed up an app.
2 compressed the folder
3 Tried to create app from backup
error message as above
Hi Paul -
Please clarify why you're compressing your folder? You should get a ready to use archive file when using project backup.
When i download the backup it creates a folder with
1 unix Executable files
2 a "sources" folder with more unix executable files
3 A metadata.xml file
when i try to create a new app from back up, I attempted to select the backup folder, but it will only allow me to select a single file.
Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, can you help?
kind regards
paul
Hello Paul,
Please upload a zip file of the backup. You shouldn't extract any file from the app's backup
