I had removed it for a moment to see if I could replace it and break apart but it still wont work, item is back in plsce now

I too am having this problem, or at least one causing the same issue. I can create a custom component, like I did before, but I cannot drag any of my components over.
App is shared. I cant get a component to drag anywhere now so the login page would be suitable to test on.

I solved this "issue" of mine. Foolishly, I apparently forgot how to use a custom component. Just for clarity to others,
green is good, red is bad:
Red is for editing of the component. Green is for drag and drop.
