Is there any ETA on this? Looking back, it seems to be a big concern for at least 3 months.

Agree it's a big concern... I have the same negative comments posted about my app ... For the exact same reason.

Maybe a Dialog telling the user that if they want to pull the updates or not can mitigate in the meanwhile so the user experience that decission was made by himself. Like iOS updates or OSX updates. They can choose tondo it later

We started working on it, but I don't have a release date yet. The first update will include a dialog letting know the user that an update will happen.

Does today's Appery update include the solution for this? :D

For the benefit of others that have the same end-user complaints...

Until Appery implements a fix, uploading a new build version is a must. First, increase the build number, but not the version. Second, Deploy. After the deploy, Export to APK. Finally, go to Google Play, and upload the new APK, and publish.

App update turn-around seems to be within the hour. Unless your app is downloaded/opened frequently, most users will probably not get the blank page. In the same regard, it may be beneficial to note the use of over the air updates downloading, and that the blank screen is only temporary.

Thanks for sharing.

Also just to let everyone know, the auto update functionality can be turned off. You can publish the update via an app store.
