Your code works fine but its different from what I'm trying to implement.
After several days and hours of playing with the source code i found the solution and I'm happy to share that.
When you add script template to a panel, this is how it appears in the source code.

But this is what it should look like

After making these corrections everything works fine. Unfortunately any further changes in the editor no longer show.

This is not a problem with the third party library but with Appery and is the kind problem I needed help with.
