I'm having the same issue. When testing in the browser, the file select works and i can preview the file but testing on the phone it does not work at all.

and check appearing errors

Have you tried test it on other devices?

Samsung SCH-I535 4.3, and no just in web browser. I don't have other devices.

I did. I wanted create and additional collection of files but I have decided to just stick with original "Files" collection for time sake.

There is problem with current tutorial, we're working on it's update. Sorry for inconvenience.
