this was my source tap for the images, the images were doubled, I deleted the black one and the build worked

Oh. This didn't happen to me because I just renamed the splash.png to splash.9.png. Isn't that what I was supposed to do? In an earlier comment that s what Maryna said we should do. Here is a screenshot of what I have done. If there is anything incorrect then please let me know. Thanks.

Yes. I didn't have the build error the first time I did this but when I added the launch images I started getting the build error.

As we can see from logs you have made some changes on Source tab to with BarcodeScanner plugin. You need to delete edited files and undo all source changes.
