RequestFileSystem dies silently on iOS
Hello!
You don't need to pass app name to getDirectory, this way you use the path which doesn't exist.

Hi Maryna,
The directory should be created when I call this function. It works on Android and it worked on iOS before the big update (21. September). Usually the directory "BonusPlus" will be created before I call this code, but for showing my issue this should be enough.
The getDirectory function never get called, the requestFileSystem-function just returns without an error.
Do you already have an update on the issue?
Hello!
I am sorry, not yet. I sent this request to developer, but no feedback for now...
Ok, thank you for the update.
Hello!
I am sorry for the radio silence here! Could you send us request at a href="mailto:support@appery.io" rel="nofollow"support@appery.io/a with a link to this topic so we can send you back demo project showing how to work with file system.
Hi Maryna,
I have sent you the mail.
Hi,
Sent via email.
Hi,
I played around with your demo project. While testing on iPhone 4s with the tester, I noticed that the filesystem doesn't work. I then exported the .IPA and tested again on the same device and it worked.
So I had a problem with the filepaths, which I fixed earlier, after that the app worked while installed on the device directly and didn't worked in the Appery Tester. So I tried to fix a bug, where no bug was.
Can you confirm, that the filesystem demo you sent me doesn't work in the tester? If so, it would be a good idea to either fix that or to inform your customer, that the file API doesn't work in the tester.
I'm sorry about the time you invested for a non existant bug. I won't rely again on the tester only for bug fixing in the future. And of course a big thank you to you all, for helping me. The case can be closed.
Cheers
Samuel
Hi Sam,
Yes Tester has some limitations. And could not be used for all device native features testing. For these goals you should use native app.
Thanks for your update.
Regards.
