I heard from support that they couldn't reproduce the issue. Can you tell us which page/button -- you experience the slow down?
ALL. Laggy skippy, issues. Real android devices.
no services and only simple action clicks.

Please try with standard jQuery Mobile theme and
see if it works faster.
i recently changed that, no impact on speed. Im telling you, it has nothing to do with the html its the native app code.

If you believe it's the native code.. then it's Apache Cordova that's slowing things down.
