Did you follow steps Marina had provided or you left Barcode service?

The app has a barcode scanner that is still working fine. I just want to add the search service on that page as well

What is the exact question? You can add any services to the page.

How do I get the search service to pull profuct from db?

Create a service the searches the database, add it to a page, map it, then invoke it.

I did exactly that. I deleted the previous search and started from scratch using this tutorial but nothing happened. Here is the screenshot breakdown

Did you first test the service, to make sure it works and you are getting some records back when searching?

I did the test. See the highlighted product in the screenshot that did not come up when typed into the search box
