so your saying that you guys will clear up these time out issues soon? And when is the projected timeframe for this fix? I think someone said sometime in August?

Will that fix enable me to navigate quickly throughout my larger project just as a small one?

well, i just hope this fix can be done as fast as possible since i will have to bring everything together and test the app as one soon. Im thinking i could spend a week in isolation before bringing them back in the master app.

I've been playing around with the pugins idea. As i said before this will be limited in what i can do and be hard to keep track all the associations for each page/popup.

As I attempted some tests and when trying to make some changes to a certain page in a plugin, i exported it back into another that had the original page and what it did is rename the page and all associations got wiped out. This is what the biggest problem is. Another issue is that if im exporting a page but not all the other pages linked to it and import it back with changes, the links are not there any longer.

Is there any way to override a page that has the same name when importing a plugin?

I know i could copy and paste the source files, but the working model itself doesnt change according to the source files....

Any ideas how to make this work better for me? Ive tried all kinds of things and this is all i was able to do...

im still trying to figure out how to make this work... If i could find a reasonable way to keep the links and when importing back to the original app I could overwrite the old page (with the same name) instead of making a new name then that would help a lot....

Hi, regarding this 'cart' page being changed, i noticed even more problems relating to that issue. There are a bunch of Set Property Events, and each was set to a different component, but somehow it got changes to set the page name ('cart') - all of them. Now, that is very strange. Please include this problem in your investigation and please let me know if I need to worry about this happening again in the future.

one example of when importing a plugin that i worked on from the original: I want to import lets say 10 pages and each page has a home button linked. If im not importing the home page from the plugin app (even though on the app im importing into has the same home page name as the plugin) - all those ten pages will lose its links to the home page, unless I would import the home page from the plugin app, but then i would create another identical homepage with a different name which causes even more confusion.

This example is not such a terrible issue to deal with because I could go into every one of those pages and hook them up again, but the bigger problem is when I have many links i have to redo i could lose track and mess up. It would just be easier if I could just overwrite any pages that are the same name - a popup question should ask me if i wanted to overwrite the page(s) or rename them. That would probably be an easy fix...

The plug-in idea is just a temporary solution. The idea is to allow you to continue to work while we fix this issue. You can even create a new project and start building new pages there. I wouldn't worry about linking pages - everything will work once the pages/services are put back into one project.

At this point in time my biggest complaint is obviously the timeout issue, but just in general the speed and performance should be top priority at this point more than anything (from a consumer perspective). I noticed as my app gets bigger, the speed slows down. It shouldnt have to be this way.

If you guys can get this speed and performance under control then I'd say Appery's platform is a very attractive developer tool.
