Is there a way in Appery to disable landscape mode in both Android and IOS? Or do I have to use jquery for this matter?

I was wondering something. In Appery I can go to source code and see the android manifest.xml file there. Why can't I just disable landscape mode from there? Why do I have to export it to Eclipse?
