Top Line of Header

I need to use the top line of the header to put a grid in. Please advise
The following CSS code does not work as proposed by a few people. It removes the whole header.
display: none !important; ;

Please elaborate your question, I'm not sure that I understand what you're trying to do.
Currently the top line in the header is reserved for the back button Caption and another button.
I would like to utilize this line by ading images or other components such as a grid. When you add the grid to the header it automatically goes on the second line below the Caption. I dont want the caption line.
