Trying to use the tutorial http://docs.appery.io/tutorials/build...

The screen instructions are not clear and the examples do not match the current version of the builder.

Section "Binding the service", step #5 says to create the mapping from "$" to the list. In the datasource, there is no "$" entry. Should this be "X-Appery-Session-Token" instead? If so, it doesn't work.

I set it up and the test will not display the data out of my database.

For 5 step in section "Binding the service" you have to change "Request" tab to "Response" tab as it shown on the image below http://docs.appery.io/wp-content/uplo...

Here is should be $ element. If you don't see it now please go to service-test tab, click "test" and when result will appear click "Automaticaly Create Service Response".

for others who may have the same issue, the solution was to start with a phone template vs. tablet.
