How can I put a checkbox into a list (or grid) so that I can allow the user to select multiple items from a REST service mapping or optionally navigate to a more detailed page for a specific item?

Unfortunately not. I would like the functionality of a multiple selection list that can optionally be used to trigger opening a details page.
If I use a list or grid with a button, I cannot seem to get a checkbox component to display inside.
If I use a CheckboxGroup, I cannot add a button.
Ideally, the component would include...a checkbox (for multiple selections), a label containing data from the Rest Service, and button that would navigate to a details page.

This is a bug.
And unfortunatly there is no known workaround for this issue.
But we will keep you posted here if we find a solution.

An only workaround we can suggest is to create checkboxes manually inside HTML component, like this:
