Is there an easy way to incorporate advertising into Appery Apps?

I have an Admob account setup and have tried following the complex steps online but has not worked. I thought there must be an easier way to include advertising in my app. Any ideas?

AdMob can be added through Eclipse or xCode, the other option is to search for ready to use PhoneGap plugin.

There is an admob plugin for cordova.

This page says that a cordova plugin must have both a .js file and a .java file.

The admod plugin only has a .js file.
