I am having troubles with push notification for Andorid Devices.

The notification works perfect on iOS, but for Android devices it does not. The app does not seem to seem to register the device token, and instead shows "undefined".

I have entered the settings, API key and Sender ID correctly for Android. These setting were entered AFTER i submitted the app to the google play store. Would this cause an issue? Would I need to resubmit the app again now that the settings are there?

Also, should the android device show a popup window upon first download of the app asking if the user wants to enable push notifications, as it is on iOS?

Hi Marco,

Yes, it's better to set API key and Sender ID before submitting the app to Google Play. You can test the push notification before uploading it to the store.

Yes, you can update this settings and re-submit it again to the store.

Is there any way for me to test push notifications if I do not own an android?
I do not think I can do it with the emulator, right?

If I were to share the app with appery, is there any way for you to test it?

Unfortunately you can't test pushes in any known emulator. But could you please email us to a href="mailto:suppor@appery.io" rel="nofollow"suppor@appery.io/a with your issue?
