Guys,

I need some general information on how/why my app is crashing on Samsung Galaxy S5 with lollipop. Unfortunately I don't own this device, there doesn't appear to be any javascript console errors as I'm logging those to a file. What is the best way to troubleshoot this. Something is happening at the webview level, causing it to crash. I'm accessing the file system, sqllite, cameras/photos.

Should I just buy one and root it so I can see what's going on with it?

Could you please clarify do you have this issue on one specific device or on other too? Also please check have you changed Android permissions or anything at the Source tab?

For example I did my testing on Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG 3 and I never had one instance of the app crashing during testing. I modified security settings from the defaults (when I first started) but I have done many updates since then I can't confirm it ever worked correctly on the S5. It's actually crashing and kicking them out of the app. Are there specific security settings that could do this? There are probably security items that I don't need, should I reset these to the bare minimum? I'm just using internet connection, accessing wifi state, using the file system and the camera.

Please test your app with the default Android permissions. Also please detail about the Source tab.

I bought a Verizon S5 and see if I can replicate the problem. If so I will test resetting permissions. Should I also see if I should switch them to developer mode and take a bugreport and try to look at the the system log?
