How to prevent the header from overlapping on to the status bar in iOS 7 ?

I removed headers from my app and add a 15px padding to the top.
However, when you scroll the app runs into the status bar. I am OK with it for now.
Disappointing, but not the end of the world.
Can't wait for Apprey to get caught up to iOS7
Maybe it'll catch up with iOS7 after iOS8 comes out next month? I'm still having this problem!
