SSL for custom domain name

I want to host the Appery back-end with a custom sub-domain name like mobile.mydomain.com. I know it can be made to work with DNS on my primary ISP, but can I also get SSL protection on the Appery hosted sub-domain? I assume I will have to obtain a new cert for this purpose, right?
Thanks,
-Kal.

Hello Kal,
It depends on setting of your domain and connection to it of ssl certificate. Please contact your hosting support, there they should tell you what you need to connect ssl certificate

No, I believe it will require you to install my sub domain certificate on your server to work, or am I mistaken?

Hi Kal,
You would need to setup your server:

Katya, yes I do understand how to set up the custom domain. However, the documentation does not address the issue of SSL certification of that domain hosted on your server. I feel like we are talking across each other. Maybe we need an expert to set us straight?

I came across this topic: https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/.... Is this the right answer, namely, I need a Digicert SANs certificate for this?

Kal,
You cannot upload the ssl certificate with publishing html5 app in Appery.io. You can use your ssl certificate on your own hosting. And instead of publishing you can export to html/css/js, and manually upload the files to your hosting service.
