Is it possible to develop a Windows 8 Phone app and then download it to the phone? I currently have a simple test app on your cloud, but cannot figure out how to have the app available for viewing when data is not available. (It is a Nokia Lumia 1020)

Go in your app and click export then go to windows and click on the correct one you want and save it to your computer I think windows VS Project saves as zip. Hope it helped

Hello,
Do you mean install?
The solution is to export VS project and build app in Visual Studio for installation.
Could you please clarify this:

Thanks Matthew. I'm not sure I was clear on what I am hoping to do. I am on a Mac (and an iPhone guy mostly). I am tasked with getting a simple app to run on a Windows 8 Phone even when Data is not available. I can use appery.io to create the app. I can view the app using the QR code.
However I don't have a way to get the app "native" or compile the app in VS. I have tried other ways to get the files to the phone. I upload a ZIP file to the phone via skydrive. That does not work. Neither does it accept a folder.

Okay so I understand, I use appery.io to build and test the experience and then use Phonegap Build to create a stand-alone binary. Is that correct?
It mentions you are working on binary build for Windows Phone. Is there a way to be a tester for this service?

By the way, I still don't understand how I can compile the Windows Phone app in PhoneGap and get it onto the phone.
I uploaded it to my GIT repo at: https://github.com/mcfilms/myapp1
I pull that into the PhoneGap builder at https://build.phonegap.com.
I get a QR code that triggers a download. But the download gives me a cryptic error:
"Cannot Install Company app"

Did you try to contact PhoneGap Build support as to why the QR code is not working? I'm sure you understand, it's outside the scope of our support
