I have an app that queries an Appery database that contains lots of free text.

Users can enter keywords in an input element.

I would like to implement a smart search - similar to google - to capture the keyword or keywords entered.

My current keyword search works fine, but it's not smart. For example, synonyms/multiple keywords are not captured.

I know how to improve all these features, but I was wondering if there's a plugin that you could point me to that I could use. If not, could you tell me where could I search for plugins that improve the database search?

Hi Frank, are you familiar with serverCode ?
what I have is not a plug in. it's only that I developed the kind of tool you are looking for in server code. it accepts up to 3 keywords, ..., check all lowerCase, initial as upperCase, ... get some of the txt around the targeted words and put your targeted word in bold.
it can for sure be improved
if you think you can take over from that stage, I wld be happy to send you the raw code listing.
